MEMBERSHIP 

Family Friends provides playgroups and more for families with young children. We are an organized non-profit volunteer organization that has been running for 25 years. Amazingly, annual membership fees are a mere $80 per family and include the following:

	Local playgroups that meet twice a week
	Extensive "Summer in the Parks" program
	Day trips, tours, and holiday parties
	Support for new moms
	Social & educational activities for parents
	Informative monthly newsletters
	Community Outreach programs

As an all-volunteer organization, Family Friends relies heavily on our members—our greatest asset. All programs and playgroups are created and managed by our volunteer parents. The membership fee covers the majority of our insurance and rent. The rest is made up by our fundraising activities, which help keep operating costs as low as possible. Members commit to volunteer at a minimum of two activities per membership year. Volunteer requirements can include fulfilling a board position for the year, opening or closing a playgroup for a one-month commitment, or performing various other activities.
