Family Friends’ playgroups are for children, ages birth to preschool, and for their parents. The playgroup provides a safe environment to play and a place they can meet other children their own age. We parents also benefit from playgroup by making new friends and having some adult conversation.

Children enjoy the free time to play during each playgroup, but look forward to the snack and craft time on Monday and the activity provided on Wednesday. Wednesday’s activity may include any of the following: school yard games, circle time, parachute games, sing-a-longs, dance, or exercise.

During the school year (September through May), playgroups meet indoors at St. Luke's Fryer Hall in Metuchen.  During the summer months (June, July, and August), we enjoy our extensive "Summer in the Parks" program which features a different area park, beach, spraypark, zoo, etc. each week.  Note that indoor playgroups do not open on bad weather days (dependent on Metuchen Public School closings) or on major holidays.
